They have been suitably called the Simply Silent range because, well, they are. The noise generated by an extractor fan generally comes from the movement of air or the motor itself. Xpelair have introduced us to Ghost Air Movement Technology. It uses the quietest motors and expertly designed parts for the best air flow to produce noise slightly quieter than rustling leaves. These extractor fans are put through rigorous testing and Xpelair are so confident in the quality that they provide a 2 year guarantee against any manufacturing faults. This is great for steamy bathrooms, allowing you to turn the light off but continue with extraction for a short time. Recessed Design Recessed fans can be installed through a wall, window or alternatively the ceiling giving you that extra bit of flexibility. Interchangeable Fascia This package comes supplied with an interchangeable fascia in a square or rounded design, so you can ensure that your extractor fan not only performs to the highest of standard but also looks the part as well. Axial Axial type fans cause gas to flow through in an axial direction which is parallel to the shaft where the blades rotate, making the flow axial at exit and entry. Axial fans are designed to create a pressure difference and force which produces a flow through the fan. IPX4 Rating This product has a rating of IPX4 which means it is protected from water splashes from any angle. Zone 1 Rated IP rating stands for ‘Ingress Protection rating’ and this helps us determine what bathroom electricals can go in particular bathroom zones. An IP (Ingress Protection) number or code is used here in the UK to specify the environmental protection of enclosures around electronic equipment. These ratings are determined by specific tests. These extractor fans can be fitted within Zone 1 as shown below. Use in a Cloakroom or Bathroom This type of fan is suitable for use in a cloakroom and a bathroom to give you an excellent flow rate.
